Company Background

Shrao Engineering Works started with manufacturing of desert coolers. With a diversification strategy, the company soon started with commissioning and installation of cooling towers for AC plants.

In the early 90’s, the unit got associated with BHEL Bhopal, a public sector enterprise under Government of India. The company later became an ancillary for BHEL and started manufacturing small-fabricated products for switchgear, control gear and industrial motors. In the late 90’s, the company started manufacturing battery-powered vehicles as well.

In the early 2000s, Shrao Engineering Works got associated with BHEL Jhansi and started manufacturing power transformer tanks and super structure and under frame for AC locos and diesel locos. The company saw tremendous growth in the following years and started manufacturing and exporting products for EMRP Mumbai, Indian Defense, Crompton Greaves and other public and private sector industries in India and abroad.

Shrao Engineering Works started manufacturing heat exchangers in 2010 and developed an in-house designing facility. The company imported several finning machines for manufacturing flaw-free products and soon got BHEL, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam, Maharashtra State Power Generation Co., Jyoti Limited, EMRP Mumbai and several cement plants as clients.

Shrao Engineering Works has exported its products to various countries including Ethiopia, Vietnam, Bhutan, Tajikistan, Oman and Kuwait. The company currently has plans of expansion of the work profile and diversification of product portfolio, including innovative products.
